About EvolveHer

🌿 Rooted in Evidence. Grounded in Compassion. Focused on You.

Midlife is a powerful—and often overwhelming—chapter. Between shifting hormones, changing roles, career pressures, aging parents, and the invisible emotional load you’ve carried for years, it can feel like you’re supposed to “hold it all together” while your mind and body feel anything but steady.

EvolveHer was created to give women in perimenopause and menopause a supportive spot where they can make sense of it all. This is a place where your symptoms are taken seriously, your emotions are met with compassion, and your healing is backed by evidence-based care.

You don’t have to navigate this season alone. You deserve support that recognizes the whole of you—your biology, your stress, your identity, and the many roles you hold, including the importance of having a therapist who can guide you through this transformative time.

Why EvolveHer Exists

I arrived at my own stage of midlife ready to be proactive, assuming that the tools and resources would be there, ready and waiting. I soon realized that perimenopause was so much more than I had anticipated (and I thought I was informed!), and there was a significant gap in community support for women during this stage. So, I started doing more research and have spent the past 2 years training, primarily with professionals in the UK and Australia.

I've worked with women who feel like they are 'falling apart' in midlife—despite being capable, intelligent, and deeply resilient. Many wonder if their anxiety, irritability, or exhaustion are personal failings. They aren’t.

Research shows that perimenopause and menopause impact far more than just physical symptoms—they influence mood, cognition, energy, sleep, relationships, and emotional regulation. Yet, so many women are told to just 'push through it.'

EvolveHer was built to change that by providing therapeutic support for women that is informed by the unique physical and hormonal changes that accompany this stage of life. Here, your lived experience is valid. Your struggles are understood. Your healing matters. And your growth is supported with approaches rooted in evidence. This isn't just a physical shift; it's often a stage of personal growth and evolution, guided by therapists who specialize in this area.

How can therapy help?

Anxiety & Mood Changes

Anxiety & Mood Changes

Sometimes one of the most helpful things is understanding what is happening in our bodies during this hormonal transition known as perimenopause and menopause. I bring information from a neurobiological-informed lens and best-practice guidelines.

Anxiety & Mood Changes

Anxiety & Mood Changes

Anxiety can be one of the first symptoms that women experience in perimenopause; for some, it may be the first time they encounter such feelings. During this phase, you might also feel irritable or down at times. There are tools that can support you with these experiences.

Sleep Difficulties

Anxiety & Mood Changes

ADHD in Perimenopause

You may be experiencing trouble sleeping, which can be particularly challenging during perimenopause and menopause, affecting many aspects of life. CBT for Insomnia is recognized as an effective approach for insomnia, and I also incorporate Acceptance & Commitment Therapy for Insomnia.

ADHD in Perimenopause

I am noticing a growing number of women who receive an ADHD diagnosis for the first time during perimenopause. It can feel overwhelming as if you can't keep your thoughts straight and everything is falling apart. Seeking support from a therapist can be beneficial, and there are tools that can support you.

Brain Fog

Role Changes

Brain fog can be one of the most distressing symptoms many women experience during menopause and perimenopause, leading some to worry they might be showing signs of dementia. The good news is that brain fog is very different and NOT the same as dementia.

Role Changes

Role Changes

You may be experiencing the 'midlife collision'—where career, parenting, and caring for aging parents have reached a tipping point. This period can be particularly stressful for many women navigating menopause and perimenopause. Therapy can  provide valuable strategies to adapt to these changing responsibilities.

Identity Shifts

Identity Shifts

Identity Shifts

Menopause isn't just a physical change; it's often a profound identity shift that many women experience during perimenopause. You may find yourself taking inventory of your journey so far and contemplating where you want to go next. This process often involves considering your goals and values, as well as what truly matters to you. We can work together to help you navigate the emotional aspects of this significant life change.

Hot Flashes

Identity Shifts

Identity Shifts

For many women experiencing menopause, MHT may be the saving grace for hot flashes during this stage. However, you might not be ready to take hormone replacement therapy (HRT), or you may not be a suitable candidate. The good news is that cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) has been found to be an effective approach to managing hot flashes.

Health Anxiety

Identity Shifts

Health Anxiety

It’s very common to feel anxious about your health during menopause. The symptoms associated with perimenopause are vast. Shifts in hormones, changes in your body, and life stressors can make symptoms feel overwhelming—and you may notice yourself questioning what is "normal" or "okay" and wondering if there is something worse happening. You’re not alone in this experience and there are tools to help.
